At last...

the snow is clearing :)
The snow has finaly decided to clear off, after more than three months, and so the boy's have been dying to get out on their bike...and Heelies!!! James and Benjamin both got heelies for christmas..but have not been able to try them outside, so today Benjamin was desperate to have a go...However...after about 5min, he got fed up, and went on his bike. Kieran had his first go on a little truck, and loved it.He just loves being outside, and found all soughts of muck and dirt he just had to give us!!
James and Benjamin met up with some friends, they are realy lucky..most of their friend live close by, within walking distance, which means I dont have to drive them back and forth all day long:) there is plenty of kids to play with after school.
Kieran giving a little pose with his "new" but actually very old and tatty little truck :)

This is what I had been doing earlier in the day, I baked a lovely strawberry cream cake, so we could come in and have a nice cup of tea and a piece of cake...:)
Hope everyone is having a lovely wednesday evening :)

Mum's the word....:)

Wow...two posts in one day!! Anyone would think I led an exciting life!!

Well I do and I love it :)

Today it's my lovely yummy mummy's birthday, and so today I baked two cakes, and my sister and fam and us, all piled in mums for a wonderfuly cosy birthday tea party:)

Benjamin thinks Nannie needs a bit of help opening her pressies :)

A toiletroll holder...just what she always wanted :) ( She is doing her bathroom up )

I baked two cakes today for the tea party......
a snickers cake, which is dangerously yummy..... and in the background, is Norways national cake. It's originally call "kvæfjordkake", but it is known as " verdens beste" as in " the world best" And this is mums favoritt cake.

Mum made sausage rolls, and "pasties"..we always feel like we're in sayers ( an english bakery) or we pretend we are anyway :)

Benjamin and Kieran having a little cuddle on the couch after all the sausage rolls and cake.
Best buddies?? I hope so :)

The peace has settles in the house, now that the kids are finaly asleep in bed,
Hubby is watching 24, and I have been interupted tonight from reading P.s I love you, by a very welcome interior design magazine, which droped down into my post box today, so I shall pour myself a nice cup of tea, and be whisked of into a delightful state of envy :)
Have a wonderful monday evening :)

"Lisa's pizzaria"

Yesterday we had a perfect sunday, I invited two of my good friends and their children to "Lisa's pizzaria" :) I made a huge pizza dough, and all the kids got to make their own pizza. there was 7 kids alltogether :)

With lot's of different topping to choose from.......The kids got quite creative :)
Even a pizza monster...

I was realy surprised, as every single one of the kids ate their pizza all up...with no help from mum!!
We had such a lovely day and so so much fun, both little and big, and this is deffo something I can recommend :)

Son of my right hand....

Benjamin, our middle son, he is 5 and he is just adorable :) He has such a big personality, and he is always smiling and laughing and another one who is always up to mischief :) Benjamin sure does have a sparkle in his eye, which no one can resist, he just has a way of melting your heart. Benjamin has lot's of interests, he is not that keen on tv, he likes to entertain himself...and us. He loves jigsaw puzzles, and anything to do with arts and crafts...and he also loves to bake...He get's that from me!!! And so Benjamin and I are often found in the kitchen cooking up a storm, or making cakes and lovely breads. I realy love spending time with Ben, and thoroughly enjoy his company.
We have had tons of snow this year, and Benjamin has realy been super clever on ski's, I am so impressed....that he deffo does not get from me...nor his dad!! so we are very proud of him. He won this medal for participating in a ski "game" for lack of a better word. in Norway they call it a skirenn...but as us english are not used to having snow...I just can't think of the english name, comment if you know and put me out of my missery ...PLEASE :)
He is such a cutie :)....(something else he must get from me ) !!

Well it's getting quite stormy outside tonight, it had been raing all day, The snow is finaly going after over three months solid. I must admitt I can't wait to see some greenery, as James said yesterday...He cant wait to here the sound of the lawn mower!!!
I think it's time for old man winter to pack up and leave when even the kids have had enough for one year!!

Everyone has gone to bed, so the house is so peacful, I'm going to just relax , have a cup of tea and read a little bit of "P.s I love you", before bed. A fantastic book, If you havent read it I strongly recommend that you do, but be warned...it's a weeper so have a box of kleenex at you side at all times :)

Enjoy the rest of the evening , and have a fantastic weekend :)

James: The supplanter.

Or at least that is what his name means :)

James is our first born, and he is 8. He is absolutely adorable.....YET!!
I see the teenage tantrums starting to creep in occasionally, and they can certainly be trying at times, but for the most part he is a good kid. He is a very caring and affectionate brother, and he is also the emotional one out of the three. he always cry's watching films, reading books or even listening to music. He has a lot of friends and even a girlfriend, they have been "dating" for 6 months... should I be worried?? She is very cute, and her parents are friends of my husband and I, they are in the same class together at school, and they have known each other all their lives. I remember my first boyfriend...I'm sure I was about 6 years old..."GRANT" Oh my God I was madly in love, thought we would last forever :)
How old where you when you had your first boyfriend??

Have a wonderful evening :)

Wow this blogging is so addictive...who'd have thought eh??

and you know what? the funny thing is, I'm probably just writing to myself!!..I mean who knows I'm even blogging??

Oh well, in the mean time, I have to get ready for a teacher /parent meeting, with my eldest son James.....all good news i hope! hell who am I kidding :)

Have a great St patricks day to one and all :)

While he is sleeping...

I thought I would use the next few posts letting you all in on who we are, and what we get up to, and so I thought I would start with the youngest of our three boys, Kieran, or just Monkey as we call him, He also unfortunatly answers to the name "kiwi" a name so affectionatly given to him by his eldest brother :(

Before Kieran was born I loved my job as a nurse, however, I also enjoy being a full time mum, so I decided to extend my maternity leave indefinitely. He is now 19 months, and I dont regret the decision to stay at home one bit. I know he will be my last baby....hubby totaly agrees...so I want to realy milk it as long as I can. I intend to stay at home at least another year.

We have had an unusual amount of snow in Norway this year, it has not snowed this much in the 12 (almost) years that we've lived here. So Kieran and I have not realy spent a great deal of time outside the last couple of months. we go out for a walk everyday, but we love to cosy ourselves in the nice warm house with a roaring fire and play :)

Kieran is a happy, funny, and mischievous little boy, hence the name Monkey, he deffo lives up to him name :) His brothers adore him, and are very clever and have the Patience of saints with him, something I am extremely thankful for.
I'm not entirely happy with this layout...I sought of thought the pictures would come between the text :( oh well, looks like I will have to spend some more time figuring this all out..trouble is I'm not as patient as the kids!!
Hope you all have a fantastic St. Paddy's day :)

At the very beginning.....

Hi everyone....or just anyone..!!

So I'm Lisa...
I have been reading blogs for a long long time, all kinds of different blogs, from interior design, photography, family life to cooking and make-up... And have been inspired to jump on the band wagon!!
I realize though that I have soooo much to learn when it comes to actually blogging myself, as I'm about as technical as a kangaroo on a trampoline..(or is that bored)?? I don't know..but I certainly have a lot to learn, but hey! thats part of the fun right?? Oh and one small matter which deffo will be a slight challange... I'm dyslexic!! so expect the odd spelling mistake, and dont be too harsh on me :)

Now then a little bit about me ...
I live in Beautiful Rural Norway (the north west..actually in a place called hardanger) , with my husband and three boys, But my husband and I are actually from a fantastic city in England called liverpool. you may have heard of it, it apparantly is the home of a well known group from the swingin' sixtie's "the beatles" and I also believe they have a rather good football team..or two depends on who you speak to, I'm all about the reds myself :)

We moved to Norway in the summer of -98 a month after my husband and I got married, it's actually quite a long story and not a very interesting one at that, how we ended up here, but we are very happy that we are , and we love it to bits:)
Now then I shall not reveal all at once...other wise there won't be much point blogging...

so now I will spend some time figuring out some of these technical bit's and bobs, and try and make my blogg pretty...anyone reading this and wants to leave a comment , I would love to here from you, and any handy hint and tips would be greatly appreciated!!
Take care for now:)
